Fresh dill is always available in this area – for about three weeks, then it suddenly disappears, jus about the time my cucumbers start to come in. I had a couple of cucumbers ripen so I started a pickle jar (water, salt, dill…). I think, however, that by the time I have enough cucumbers for a pickle crock that there will be no fresh dill available. This, in addition to the problem of having to by a large bunch of dill lead me to wonder if I might be able to vacuum seal and freeze it. Here goes nothing…..
