December 26th – The Fool’s Feast

On this seventh day of Yuletide, tradition calls for the honoring of fools and the swapping of roles in the social order. This is a reminder that nature is always close to chaos and that shaking thing up can lead to important lessons.
We spent our day a bit turned on end. Instead of our usual hanging around the house in the country, we spent the entire day in the city-downtown. We shopped on 23rd, had a great lunch at Kornblatt’s Deli, stopped for a cup of sipping chocolate at Cacao and went to the Portland Youth Philharmonic Christmas Concert. We even got stalked by a huge murder of Crows (strangely, possibly the most normal part of the day). Here’s to a little chaos.
